How is it?

I am Djanim van der Schalk, 42 years old, owner of Studio Djanim, living together and father of 2 daughters aged 16 and 11 and a third on the way. I have been living in Amstelveen for 7 years and I really like it here. When I was 25, I started my own business as a furniture designer of sustainable furniture. I envisioned a beautiful line of furniture that would sell like hot cakes. This concept has completely failed! I was as green as grass and could draw nice furniture and enthusiastically collect all kinds of materials, but to build a collection; sales; sales channels; transport: I didn't know anything about it. The job I had before, interior designer at an architectural firm, gave me a lot of experience in the field of interior design. I started doing more and more interior design assignments and that eventually became the path to follow. After a year I started using 3D drawings. Since then it has grown into what it is today: a 3D design agency.

What do you have with tennis and sports?

From my office I look over the tennis courts of Park Startbaan and that left me wanting more. I now receive private lessons from Wim Gomersbach. Wim is a very experienced trainer and I learn a lot from him. You have been warned! 😉Together with the sponsorship, I am becoming more and more connected to the tennis club. My favorite player? That was and still is Nadal. His drive and fighting mentality are qualities that particularly appeal to me. In addition to tennis, I regularly take the mountain bike to cycle, for example along the Amstel. I used to play football fanatically.

How is Studio Djanim?

Studio Djanim is a 3D design agency. We serve 2 groups of customers: we make interior designs for private individuals; lighting plans; styling and planning. The second group mainly concerns project developers. We create sales visualizations of renovation and new construction projects for this group. Our strength lies in the combination of design and 3D visuals. On our site Djanim.nl you get a good idea of what our work actually entails.

Why did Studio Djanim choose LTC Startbaan?

I have rarely done any marketing or sponsorship. I wanted to change that. Better local visibility, for example, is something I want to work on. There are several reasons for choosing LTC as part of this. LTC Startbaan and my office are neighbors, which is how I became acquainted with the club. I got to know the club as a well-managed and friendly club with many local private individuals who fall within my target group. I ultimately inquired about sponsorship options and the concept you used appealed to me enormously. I then opted for the Match package. LTC Startbaan is therefore the ideal way for me to work on local fame and make my services accessible to a large group of potential customers.

What could be done differently/better at LTC Startbaan?

As a relative newcomer, everything seems well organized at the club. If I had to mention one point, it would be the catering industry: the appearance and service need some attention.

What would you prefer to see your sponsorship contribution spent on?

My strong preference would be for the youth and maintenance of the Park.

What can Studio Djanim do for the members and/or vice versa?

We offer a free 3D session of their existing or new home especially for members. We take the time to inventory your wishes and personal taste and then build the house in the desired look & feel entirely in 3D. In this way, new insights are clearly visible, often with new inspiration(s) and ideas. And of course we take the available budget into account when designing, so everyone is welcome.
